We have been alive

The Sandpaper blog has been only a figment of the imagination for almost a year. But no longer. We will actually start posting updates, pictures, links, recommendations, all the information that is expected from the latest news. From new arrivals of note to various incoherent rants sometimes original sometimes found and meticulously edited with linguistic laziness. There will be something for everyone who secretly and publicly ally themselves with our vision.

So here is the following information so many have asked.

Sandpaper when are you open...?

M = 6-9PM
T = 3-7PM
W = 6-9PM
Th= 3-7PM

On Mondays and Wednesday Karen Eliot (aka Hector) will be at the desk and on Tuesdays and Thursdays Lithium Distribution will be managing Sandpaper.

December - end

Its December and things have started to 'become' here at Sandpaper. Everyone we know is getting sick or has been. The day after Christmas we awake to light rains. After eating strange cheeses and drinking too much we await the new year to come in.

And Sandpaper? The book shop, art space, sometimes just a space. Things are taking off and things are landing. We are starting to schedule things and take suggestions, recommendations, ideas for the future. For now we are only going to be open during events so join the newsletter and starting in January we will be open once a week on Sunday afternoons from 12 until 6 PM (sometimes later). These are limited hours but you can always email or call in a books search or schedule an appointment.

We are starting the new year with a few readings from the perpetual motion roadshow ...a small exhibit from our comrade and co-conspirator Edith Abeyta who will be curating some shows every other month. Also getting a great little project called free university of Los Angeles back on the ground.
We hope to start facilitating a dialogue between the various resistant communities that are becoming and those that have have been mumbling for decades. Individuals and collectives are welcomed to contact us for future projects...

Thank you and happy holidays
